Hi, can anyone recommend an aerial for our touring caravan. We are still relative newbies; the first time out we had a signal no problem, but then last weekend we had no signal at all. So we need to have an outside aerial incase we can't get a signal again. I've had a quick look on ebay - but it's a minefield. Can anyone help? Thanks
It all depends on whether you can get a good signal. If you got one first time out, was it a different place the second time out? Check the postcodes of both places with the freeview location/signal strength.
And did you retune the tv, as every time you move to a new location, you need to retune the freeview channels.
I have an avtex aerial and never had a problem with it, but you do need to have a program on the tv in the settings to enable an internal booster, or plug in the external booster that comes with it.
Hi Jax, yes it was a different site the second time and we did retune the tv but we just couldn't get a signal at all.
Is an avtex booster an external booster? We've seen some caravans with extrenal aerials mounted on masts so I'm thinking we probably need one of those.
