Hi, just wondering if someone could help us please. My mother and father in law recently changed their caravan and purchased a new mover from Riversway leisure.
On fitting the mover it was discovered that the control panel was faulty. We have tried contacting Riversway but they are not answering the phones. After contacting an engineer who fits movers for them we have learned that rumours are rife that they have gone bust. He told us that the movers were made by unipart so we tried ringing them but they told us they dont make them and to get back to Riversway! I explained that they had possibly gone bust but they said as far as they were concerned they were still there and to keep ringing.
So , could anyone shed any light on to who makes these mover's please. My parents in law are in their late seventies and really need their mover to keep enjoying caravanning.
Easi move looks as though it was manufactured by the same as the purple line. Might be worth trying these people who fit purple line. Caravan Movers 0800 0226126
I think you will find the manufacturer is in China and somehow I doubt you will get a lot of help from them. I would imagine that Unipart are just one of many importers who badge mass produced components from China.

What is the fault with the control panel???
I bought one a couple of months ago from Riversway and on fitting found that when the connections were made as described in the manual the mover worked in reverse in every way. Played about with the wires and eventually got things working but none of the wires were in the position described in the manual.
Interestingly, I have had a promotional email from them only today with the heading 'Christmas Gifts for Caravanners! There's still time to order!'. I have ordered from them in the past, but would think twice at the moment as there seems to be some uncertainty with a few people. Hope they are still trading though as they always seemed to have had some good stuff in stock.
