Where the loch narrows, we are the village on the lefthand point.
A typical "slum clearance area"
On the up side, we are next door to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, so there are plenty of sites we can choose from if we fancy a long w/e close by.
LOBEY..
A couple of years ago we spent a month travelling the 120 miles from the Butt of Lewis to Barra. If we had timed the ferries right, we could have done the whole trip in a day!
I have read the run up so far but I was tickled pink when I saw the last sentence on one of your last posts.
I also see that it was not long before you followed us with the change over from the FC to C.van. It had plenty of space but when things start getting a bit too much too put up it is time for an easier unit. We can go for weekends even if it is small, but we do also have a full awning for longer stays.
Enjoy yourselves when you move around. We have got to find some smaller sites from now on.
Looking forward to next year as we have pulled in for winter.
Lobey, there is only one word that comes to mind when I look at that last picture. Breathtaking! What a beautiful place you live in. I could sit and look at a view like that all day.
Chrissie;- I am getting that fed up with sitting in the van looking out at the garage doors, that I think I will buy one of those wallpaper pictures of mountains and streams and pasted it to the inside of the garage door!!!
This evening I am sitting here working out mileages for a figure of 8 tour of England and Wales.
Just over 1,000 miles over 21 nights, possibly in June.
Ofcourse we will be away for a few long w/e's before then.
That is what I am looking forward to with a caravan. Once it is packed, then it is ready to roll.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
