Considering booking a mobile engineer for our service in February, but not sure whether our driveway is suitable for him to work on.
We have a large twin axle van which we keep at home on our drive. The drive has about a 1 in 10 slope up towards the house, and also slopes slightly side to side following the slope of the street. OH uses large wooden ramps to lift the rear wheels slightly when parked to level the van up slightly, but it is still on a bit of a slope.
Would the engineer need a flat area to work on? Nowhere is flat around here! Don't want to book him and then find he cannot do the service when he sees the slope.
Our nearest dealer is always very busy and needs to be booked well ahead, so would be too late to get our service done there to maintain our warranty.
The engineer will need ample space on either side to remove the wheels. If this is an issue, find a CL nearby that has EHU and book it in there for the day.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
