Hi
We purchased a swift challenger 480 year 2006 towards the end of the season last year, the van came with a sunncamp 260 ultima awning, which is brill especially for 3-4 night stays.
We will be having our two week holiday this year at the van and are looking for a decent size awning to incorporate an inner berth, as family will be coming to stay!
Were looking at the sunncamp aspire 390 awning but unsure if it would be too big for the van?
Or if anyone can recommend something similar that would be great, thanks in advance

As porch type awnings are designed to fit along the top length of straight channel you need to measure the maximum length before it curves down each end, and bear in mind if it will foul windows opening.

Or you could put it up from the front and cover the front windows and the door.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

This depends on the caravan's design.
The awning needs to be on the horizontal section of the awning rail and, on our van, this ends at about the midpoint of the window.

Not necessarily always on the horizontal section, the slight fall that many caravans have at the front makes little difference to the porch, what you have to avoid are the really curved section at the front and rear.
