Wondering what you think of this little caravan, we are going to import these this year, we love the Pi, it is 2.1x1.7x1.7m. It is an evolution of the teardrop, but one where two adults can sleep, 4 can dine and with cooker, running water and space for a Porta potti, it can be self sufficient. With a custom ALKO chassis it robust and can cope with most terrains. Unique seal system to eliminate water ingress, a fibreglass construction, insulated, sandwich ply laminate it is suitable for all year round camping, lightweight at 300kg, easy to tow, so economical. Easy to store. Can we introduce a new generation of caravanners, or convert those who like being under canvas. Our website is being presently built, so feedback would be gratefully appreciated. www.pinocaravans.co.uk  or https://www.facebook.com/pinocaravans

Look quite funky. I think looking at the popularity of freedom and Eriba caravans they should do well depending on price.

Your link don't work. Dutch website here caravans made in Turkey. Priced in Holland at €9-10K so £7.5k upwards. More info here, the bigger caravan actually looks a better bet. Generally folk love the 'cute factor' of these sort of caravans but they don't actually buy them. UK warranty is only good as long as the importer stays in business..Good luck.

Looking through the website I would have though importing the larger caravans might be more viable if the prices were competitive. They do a nice Ducato based campervan as well. The larger caravans look really nice, could you not import them & undercut other smaller caravans sold in UK, that would be a better business model, I would have thought or are ex factory prices too high?

Was your question about water ingress warranties rhetorical or have you really not researched the UK caravan market?

I liked the look of the bigger caravan as well. But it would have to come down to the price for us. And its a good few years away for us yet.
Hope they are still around then.
The only thing that I wasn't keen on was the decals on the outside. But I suppose that's only in the eye of the beholder LOL.

Don't see many of these micro caravans about. What there is seems to be mostly Eriba so I assume the market in UK is limited.

Certainly not for me but if it was I'd be looking at a lot less than "under £10k)" which I assume is pretty close to £10k.

I would go for a used traditional caravan at that price.

As more and more new caravanners are of an age where they have a post 1997 license, I guess the smaller and more light weight caravans will become more and more attractive. I like them in the abstract - they look really good and their capabilities sound appealing, but they wouldn't have enough space in them to work for our family and I think I'd find them even more claustrophobic than a similar sized tent.

I think if they were coming in at a lot lower price you may do better,
But good luck and I look forward to seeing one in the flesh
