Today is a sad day as my faithful reliable p reg volvo850 se has been superceeeded by a 6 plate volvo s80 2.4 (lux) D5 . Really pleased wihth new (to me) car metalic black and every toy but..... after 17 years and only 125 thou miles me poor 850 is falling apart. A sad day for sure All trouble free motorirng for 17 years

How's the new Volvo S80 going then Jon? I know you're quite pleased with it (apart from the sat-nav) but as a matter of interest I wondered if you had towed the caravan with it yet and what your thoughts are regarding this.

tango ... the car is great thanks. Havnt had a chance to tow the van yet as weather been awful. Going to storage in the week bring van home for yearly service. Soon find out what its like to tow then. let you know how it tows then

The S80 is a brilliant car to use for towing, but beware of wet grass fields as the front wheels tend to slip if towing a large caravan.
