Like Michael says. It can get very confusing with amps and watts and so forth. A general rule of thumb is to turn off everything else using EHU and then use the iron!
I have a little steam travel iron here if you want it - a Phillips Caravelle - used once... Then I didn't bother after that, I hate ironing at the best of times, but on holiday it's really a non starter with me!

not now but in the past on our 27 night stay at Keswick each year. there is always someone who plugs in a large microwave. you should be correct in theory and have there own trips.

If I had to iron (maybe a function while we're away - been to a wedding reception, for example), I'd take my home iron (rather than buying a wee travel iron) and use the socket in the site laundry, where they have an ironing board too. You're not travelling with an ironing board, surely? May have to pay 20p or so, but easier. But I'd say, of all the sites I've been to that have a laundry, they've all had an iron. No-one washes their jeans or bedding in their MH or caravan either....
I had a travel iron which was stolen along with our previous caravan, don't miss it in the least (never used it). We stay away on CLs/CSs for weeks at a time sometimes, wash by hand, hang on line, no need for ironing. The bedding doesn't get done then either, we are disgusting dirty people...and I like it.
