Advice please we have a two wk old new to us van with brand new 110 leisure battery. We have only played with it for one night. Just collected it from the dealer (broke it already) it had been there a week. Went to use the notor mover and nothing. The remote was going through it's sequencing but no movement OH checked everything.
Did you check the voltage of the battery ? My last mover had a lead you could plug in from the remote, if it works using that try changing the frequency.
Have you checked the battery to see if it is low? Have you charged the battery at all since you got it? If you have used the mover and tried out all the caravan equipment on 12v without charging the battery it may just be too low to power the mover. Try charging the battery, on a smart charger if possible, and then try the mover again. Does everything else work?
Is the motor mover switched on? Ours has a big red switch in the battery box or have you let the switch on since last time you used it.That will drain the battery
I wouldn't have thought a battery would discharge this quickly, we had in on electric for one night a fortnight ago everything in van left as connecting to mains.
Rob & Tina do you mean check battery fluid as I believe it is maintenance free.
Paul & June Yes hubby flicked it on and off couple of times.
Check the battery voltage with a meter and see if it's low. As the battery was new it may not have been fully charged when you got it. When you had the van on hook up was the battery charger working? If the battery was not fully charged then had a bit of use followed by not being charged then it may just need a good charge. Does everything else work as it should on 12v?
We had a similar issue, power cut on our second outing and we had no electric. Turns out a fuse had gone but it also took 2-3 days on a smart charger to fully charge our brand new battery.
