I got 2 of those from maplins £9.99each on special offer a while back.

I use them to stop my various batteries dying when im too lazy to go and check them.

couldn't get your link to work Bob, so I had a go, hope you don't mind

solor tech

I use a small solar panel to keep the battery on trickle charge while the old tin tent's in storage. ours is non-descript' all the way from china via ebay cost 12.99 inc p&p and has kept our battery topped up nicely over 2 winters now

Silly question how are you using these.
Are you placing solar panels inside van in the window connected to the battery?

in a word ,yes, ours sits in the front window of the van connected to the battery which is in it's battery box, the connecting cables go through into the battery box via an access hole under the seating

My smart charger is only 2-4W and that charges up fine, although it might take a few days to reach fully charged status. I would think for just topping up, 4w max would be fine.

I had one. Sadly the connection on the panel rusted up and the wee pin snapped off.

I think you could also change the connection and use the cigarette type connection, that's fitted to most new vans for all the different phone chargers as that comes directly off the battery
