Today we picked up our new to us tourer after a few weeks of searching and viewing. We purchased a 1996 Eccles Topaz 2 berth for the grand sum of £750.00 gave it a good going over with the damp meter all readings perfectly fine for a van of this age, all mod cons (well for us) water heater, shower, cassette loo, status aerial, window blinds etc.
The van came with a full awning, a porch awning both with groundsheets, 2 aquarolls, wastemaster, hookup lead, 2 new tyres, new leisure battery loads of pots and pans, 3 full size gas bottles all full in fact absolutely everything we need other than a tv.
I left Rhyl at 7.30am this morning and got back from Malton in North Yorkshire at 2.15pm. The drive back was a little interesting due to the high winds at times and the nose weight was probably a little on the high side but I think that may have helped a little bit, got to wait until I'm off next weekend to have a play now.
Rhyl? I have really enjoyed Rhyl over the years..... my closest friend is born and bread there.

A bit further afield first trip, Littlesea by Weymouth March 17th, then Southview Skegness May 12th.
I tested the van today all electrics fine, water works on both gas and 240v, apart from having to clean the contacts on the water pump, and the zip slider on the awning door missing no problems.
