One of the window interior infill trims have pulled out at the bottom corner but because it has shrunk it won't push back into place so the infill strip needs replacing right around the perimeter. I have found an appropriate fitting tool on Ebay item number 321329924012 costing £80 plus £5.20 P&P which seems a bit of a rip off and unjustified for just a basic tool. However, does anyone know a supplier where I can buy either a new or used one which is cheaper?
I just bought the infill and used a flat-headed screwdriver. If you get it warm first, either in sunshine or with a hairdryer, it's much more pliable and easier to fit. Bend it from the middle, so you have an upside down U shape and simply slide it in under the lip of the seal, using the screwdriver where necessary.
What I found the hardest was getting out the old screws where they had been screwed through the old stuff, like the window stoppers, etc. This was on my Dad's old caravan. In places, I simply couldn't get them out, so I put the infil over the top of the old stuff, sort of spliced in, like you do with wood! It worked ok and looked better anyway!
I put mine in with a flat head screwddriver. It wasn't too difficult. Screws were underneath anyway. It would be a little easier if warmed up first perhaps.
One of mine shrunk last winter, I found it overlapped where it joined at the top of the window so gave it a good tug at the corner where it had shrunk and there was enough overlap to get it back in again using a screwdriver. I did mine in summer when the better weather seemed to keep it more pliable, didn't need to pre heat it.

hi there the correct tool to use is from coh baines rubber they are a company in Tonbridge wells they do every thing to do with seals you can even get the trim your after for the window rubber tel no 01892 543311.

I have dealt with a company in Essex, and they do the tools too. It's just a pity you are no nearer me or you would be welcome to borrow mine. It's just like the seals direct one.
Thanks 'alpiner' for that video clip and that looks very much like the professional tool I mentioned in my first post which is £80 + P&P which is rather costly just to do a one off job.

Thanks 'Colin21' and would have gladly accepted your kind offer but like you say, it's a great distance between us. However, it goes to show just how kind and helpful folk can be on this forum but there's much advice from the replies here to decide how I will fit the infill trim which I haven't purchased as yet.
