Got my first van, a 1990 Bessacar Cameo 470GL.
Fortunately the previous owners removed their loo, so now I need another.
That's where your advice would be most gratefully received.
There is no possibility of an external opening for a cassette, there's a wheel arch in the way, so a stand alone one it is. Questions is, which one?
There are several, but my knowledge is somewhat limited.
The other issue is with the windows. Where can I get replacement ones. These are all misted up and faded.
On the up side, I'm really looking forward to Easter!!
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Before you ditch the windows, have a go at renovating them.
You say they are misted up. It may be that, over time moisture has got in. Providing that the windows haven't blown ( become rounded and no longer having parallel surfaces) take out the gromet (small plastic plug) and play a hairdrier carefully in the area of the hole. Don't get the heat too close to the surface. I've used a small funnel and plastic tubinging before now to get the warm DRY air into the windows. If and when the 'mist' goes, put the plug back in.
Good Luck.
------------- How come when some people visit the fountain of knowledge, they only gargle!!!
If you do attempt to demist, take the little plastic plugs out carefully as they can just fall into the gap between the two sides of the window itself. A pair of tweezers might be handy!
If it turns out the windows are beyond repair, a breakers yard is usually your best bet for finding replacements (or you could fall lucky on ebay).
You might find that the fading you describe is caused by a combination of misting up between the double panels of the windows or by scratching of the surface of the plastic. You can buy a paste to remove surface scratches that really does work.
