hi guys im off to pick up the new van on Saturday the thing i am a little worried about is the weight difference between old and new the old van only weighed 950kg fully laden the new one weighs in at 1200kg fully laden. will there be any differences when towing the new one obviously i will feel the weight difference between the 2 vans when towing. will the new van be any more stable than the old van on the motorway with the extra weight? it will have alko 1300 hitch fitted as they are swapping it off my old van onto the new one im towing with a toyota avensis t-spirit 2.0vvti 2005 petrol version. also the new van is 1ft smaller than the old van new shipping length of 20ft

any advice welcome

I'd reckon it will drive just fine. It may be slightly heavier than the previous van but a 2 litre engine will cope with that no probs. Enjoy your new van have many a happy holiday in it.

Guess you may feel a difference, especially when braking as more weight behind you, but as with any towing, you will soon get used to it. Enjoy your new van.
