Down at the van today, replaced all the pillowcases and tea towels etc fabrezed the cusions and curtains etc gave the van a quick wash and most importantly booked the mobile tyre fitter to change the tyres. After the tyres are changed then it's just a case of hooking up 2 weeks today and heading off.
Can't wait

Not long now!! Easter hols here we come. Off to our van tomorrow on similar errand, just puts you in the holiday spirit doesn't it?
Funny that.
Half the people here are waiting til Easter for an outing, the other half are saying "When's Easter? Better stay home then."
Indeed, those of us that are in a position to avoid public holiday weekends do & those who for reasons of work & family can't, don't, but maybe some who could don't because they enjoy the crowds & the general hubub?
An empty campsite may be peaceful but its lonley doing the washing up on your own.
Did the same with our van yesterday,we're off in two weeks time for our second outing of the year(who says retirement is boring) as an ex trucker that worked all bank holidays,I now keep well away from motorways on bank holidays,I take a bit longer and use the A roads when possible
Yep.. I enjoy the build up of getting the van ready for a break. We have ours at home so possibly a bit easier to nip out and also have everything at hand but still feel the same excitment.
