I have a sky box in the caravan and use the 66 cms elliptical Maxview dish, we are taking the van away this weekend to a site that has generally poor freeview reception so will probably need to use my Sky setup
This is the first time I will have used my sat dish in a year or so and understand there have been some recent satellite changes to Astra 2 etc,
Does anyone know if I will still be able to use the same angle on he dish and alignment for South England that I have used previously?
Thanks
Assuming that you mean 'pitch' of the dish, then (IIRC) in southern England it is 24deg if you just want the normal sky satellites located at 28.2deg East.
I can't see that the changes would affect the pitch otherwise everyone who has sky at home will need to have an engineer out to realign their dishes.
Thanks I will keep the pitch the same and try it . Only reason. Asked was I caught the tail end of an interview on h caravan channel where h was talking with a satellite chap a the NEC show and discussing changes to mobile systems with the we Astra satellite and that it will be more difficult to get a signal on mobile equipment in some areas, or was he talking if taking you satellite France etc?
