Hi There,
We have a Bailey Pageant Auvergne 2002 which we bought S/H last year and has been on aseasonal pitch. We are looking to replace the awning, one that will be up between now and end of October and are considering a Dorema. First any advice on a good awning and second, the awning measurements for the van are 948cm, Dorema awnings are Size 12 (upto 950) or size 13 (950)could we get away with a size 13 as i found a good offer on one :)
Many Thanks

Yes as you would be better opting for a size 13 anyway as the advice is to go slightly bigger for allowing for pitching on uneven ground. If the material is short then you will have a problem pegging out. Dorema are a good awning as there have been many good reports on this forum regarding this brand.

Hi we have just done the same and bought a Dorema awning for our seasonal. I am very pleased with it, the quality is clearly noticeable.

Regarding size I wish I had seen Tango's advice. My measurement is 1045 and we bought a size 16 which goes up to 1050. I have to say it is tight pegging it out and there is no room for manoeuvre at all, particularly as our van is raised on the awning side slightly to allow for an uneven pitch. I should have factored this in and gone for a size 17.

Now in a motorhome

Gone via tent to tourer to seasonal to camper van

We have a Eurovent Montreux which is advertised as a permanent or 4 season awning designed to withstand winter in the Alps. I've no intention of going as far as that but we had the awning up last year and loved it. It even has a false ceiling so you don't see the poles.
