Hi
I was wondering what other Pegasus 534 owners have done with regards to awning size. Bailey say 1039. Would you buy 1025 or 1050. I have just read a post on another camping site about a lot of unhappy Isabella customers who was told 1025 would fit but found that it hadn't. I am looking at buying a second hand awning (unlikely to be Isabella) but don't want to make a costly mistake.
I'm currently watching 2 awnings on ebay, one bradcot and one dorema (both 1050) but their websites state that 1025 fits 1025 to 1050. So a 1050 would be too big but the 1025 Isabella wouldn't fit (apparently).

Would appreciate your input.

Alison

Thanks John for going to the effort of checking yours.
Do you think 1050 would be too big?
Perhaps I should look for 1035 now

Alison.

We had a Pageant Burgundy before we bought our Pegasus, the awning had to be extended to fit.
Now have a Unicorn Vigo the awning rail is a few inches longer so we reckon it will be okay. We have not had a chance to try it yet due to weather! May try this weekend.

Each awning manufacturer users there own measurements system. For instance:
Dorema size 16 = 1025-1050
Walker 1035 = 1020-1050
Walker 1035 = 1036-1065
Bradcot 1035 = 1029-1043
Leisurewize 1050 = 1035-1059
Kampa 1050 = 1038-1063
Away daze 16 = 1038-1063
Isabella & Ventura 1050 = 1036-1060
Gateway 1025 = 1013-1038
Gateway 1050 = 1038-1063

Can you tell we've just been looking for a 1040 awning?

According to Isabella your A measurement is 1044, so you need to get a size that straddles this measurement.

However, Isabella also recommend a size 1025, which fits A measurements 1011 to 1035, which is surely too small ?

Yes definitely too small. I found a whole thread on another camping forum from a lot of very unhappy campers who were told by Isabella that a 1025 would fit.

Thanks for the comprehensive list of awning sizes. Someone has been very busy (Amanda). It will be v useful. Looking at a bradcot 1035 so should fit perfectly.
Thanks for all your replies

No probs alisonmc. We ended up going for the leisure wize one for just under £500. Haven't had chance to put it up yet so I'm hoping it'll be okay. We saw it up in a showroom and it looked as good as the dorema we'd previously had so my fingers are firmly crossed.

Thanks Amanda,
I'm bidding on one on ebay at the moment so will see where that takes me. Haven't bought much on ebay before so fingers crossed. It looks good in the photos.
Hope you like your new awning. I will look at them if this one doesn't pan out.
Alison.
