Have you visited local dealers to see the differences between the various models ?
There are issues with certain models / brands and there are people who experienced horror stories with them yet there are others who have had no problems at all.
Some people prefer certain brands, a bit like cars and tv's
My advice would be to go along to a few dealers, see what's on offer, make sure you get a full warranty for at least 12, months ( we did from our dealer in Bradford ) with a no quibbles repairs policy then if anything goes bad you can take it back.
Also keep a look out for dealers sales. We got our present van in a sale last year. It was cheaper than the same vans currently on sale at the same dealership.
Thanks for the advice. It is a nightmare! Problem is within out budget im struggling to find anything from a dealers unless its.a 2000/2001 i am prob expecting too much, but wanted something little newer more 2005?
I don't mind travelling for the right van- i just keep thinking about my first holiday to keep me going lol :)
I went out for a brand new van but couldn't justify spending £20,000 on something we would only use perhaps half a dozen times a year. Then saw a 2008 bailey for £9000 but was then shown a 2003 bailey , same model but without alloy wheels and a microwave ....that had been sold by the dealer new to a couple who used it 2 weeks a year, it had been kept in indoor storage throughout the years when not in use...so we purchased that one...a bargain at less than half the price of the 2008 model. It came with a 12 month no quibble warranty...so the minor niggles we had first time out last year have all been sorted free of charge. So if you keep, looking you will find the right van
