Hi

I have a 1991 Electrolux 3 way fridge, the pipe under the freezer box has been knocked off. Does anyone know if this is just a drainage pipe or is it something that will carry any gases that might make the fridge dangerous?

I think that the pipe you are talking about is the main freezing pipe and therefore you need to get the fridge checked out by a qualified refrigeration engineer.
