we are about to get an elddis shamal gt1994 and were wondering if anyone knew what size and how many studs the wheels are,as this one doesn't have a spare and we want to make sure we have the right one .also are they all the same size or different this may sound daft but it's our first van and we don't want a bad start.

Hi,

I have only just seen your posting. I have a 1995 Elddis Shamal XLi. I'm sure you must have sorted your problem by now but for what it's worth my handbook describes the wheel rim as being 5J 13. There are 4 studs on ours. The 1994 model was described in a copy of one of last year's Practical Caravan magazines as being the preferred year, probably based on guidebook price. We are very happy with ours and i must say that there are  very few of these models regularly appearing for sale in the various advert places. I think it might be because people tend to hold onto them.

Good luck with yours, and by the way check the rear pull handles are'nt loose. If they are and you need advice just post me a reply.
