woke up to find blood from a big nosebleed had gone through sheets and matress protector. Any tips on how to help try to get it off. have used salt and cold water and tried oxy clean but so far no luck.

Cold water always works for me. Soak it for a while before trying to rub the stain off.

Try mixing bicarbonate of soda with a little water to make a paste, rub it gently on to the stain and let it dry. Vacuum it off.

Works on lots of stains, great on carpets but you have a tricky stain. Good luck.

My mom used to use ammonia.You can get from small garden shops.Have a search on how to dilute ith water.

Hydrogen peroxide mixed with salt is a miracle worker. I was recommended it by a midwife when my dog badly cut himself and caused a bloodbath all over my cream carpet.
I usually buy it from boots- tho be prepared to be asked a few questions- apparently it is one of the ingredients to make a bomb!!!!
