On my nice new-ish Eriba, there is a charging system in place marked MATTI and model number 12/10, which is 12v and 10A. The only trouble is, I did not inherit a user manual for it. There are two LEDs, red and green. I am used to things which show one or the other, but this shows them both alternating.
I hope someone else has a similar charger and can reassure me.
It sounds very much like it's a 12 volt 'smart' charger which has a built in computer that registers the amount of charge that the leisure battery has. I have one at home but it is operated by 240 volt mains but the principal is probably the same whereby it charges in 4 stages thus having the 2 lights. On mine when the battery has a low voltage both the red and green lights flash together then as the battery voltage increases the stage changes whereby the red stays lit but just the green light flashes. On the third stage both the red and green stay lit and the final stage the red light extinguishes leaving just the green light which remains constantly lit. The final stage is a float charge so that the acid in the battery doesn't exceed the required amount of charge thus avoiding over heating the acid and causing the internal lead plates to distort. I may be wrong but I can't see any other reason why there would be a red and green light on the charger. Hope this helps.
Was the information in my above post helpful at all?
It does help if you could return with an answer as to whether it resolved your question or not as someone may be able to offer further advice if needed.
Crikey Alpiner, where and how did you find that site?
I did manage to find a few references to the charger on some Finnish retail sites, all of which suggested the two lamps are for 'Charge' and 'Ready' indicators.
So in the absence of you getting any information from the email in Alpiners link, you can probably assume the red lamp is showing the chargers running and the green that the system is ready and battery charged.
