Hi.
I have just brought a abbey piper 15.5. She is a 5 berth with a single bunk bed at the end of the van. The problem i have is that it came with no manual and i don't know how any thing in it works.
Can any one tell me how the bunk bed works. Its located above the seating area.
Is there any where i can get a manual from.

many thanks caravan mum

After unlocking the two travel catches, pull the bunk forward out of its storage position whilst lifting slightly at the rear.

Place the bunk onto the two rails below and push back so that the rear drops into position. Then unfold the front of the bunk forwards, it too should drop into position. There should be two metal side rails that fit one rear and one front, either left or right. The ladder lives in the wardrobe, but our kids seem happy to just climb up without the ladder.

Enjoy your abbey piper, I wish we had the 15.5, it's a great family van!

Andy

Hi,

Does anyone have any photo's of how this should look or a manual?

I just bought a 2nd hand abbey piper and the bunk is missing so I am thinking about making one.

Thanks

Bunk beds are pretty standard as they are bought in equipment by manufacturers.I had a 5 berth Piper in 1983 and it was basically the same as fitted fitted present day vans.Your best bet would be to use a caravan breaker for complete unit including cushions, just measure the distance between where the original wall fixings were, as some vary by only a few inches, but not much.
