Hi. Has anyone got a wiring diagram for an Elddis Tornado XL 1988? I have a couple of wires on the ZIG unit that I believe may be reversed, and I need to check it out.
hi colin21 i have a elddis manual how quick do you need diagram as book is in caravan which is storage if you can wait till wend i will fotocopy it and send it to your address
Hi leon copa, any time that is convenient would be fine, thanks. I have been looking everywhere for a manual, with no luck. It's probably too old for Elddis to have one, and I can't even find one on ebay.
We still have a few jobs to do before we can use the van, and sorting the electrics is one of them. Any info would be useful, thanks.
Hi Colin. My handbook is the Elddis touring caravan handbook for 1993. It has various wiring diagrams including one for the XL range which included the Tornado.
Can e-mail the diagram to you if you think it may help. Need to know where to send it perhaps by e-mail if you can let me know

Hi Doug, Thanks very much for the diagram. It actually arrived twice. I can now check out the wiring on the back of my Zig unit, which I believe has a couple of wires crossed. Someone has obviously fiddled around with the wiring, and this is the last stage in restoring things to how they should be. All is now working except the water pump, which is where I believe the wiring has been reversed.
Looking at your diagram, it seems I am right. The blue/brown wire to the taps is connected to the negative terminal on the back of the Zig, whereas it should be positive. No wonder the pump doesn't work.
