It does sound like the cooker does have electronic ignition to which the igniter itself could be malfunctioning. The difficult part is trying to locate the igniter but it could be inside the drop down door below the oven which should be a steel box approx. 1" square x 3" long with wires coming out of each end which are the input and output from the battery to the cooker. This may be a daft question but is your leisure battery fully charged? If it's low on power it may be struggling to provide enough power to trigger the electronic igniter so check the power source before replacing any parts first. If you don't know how much charge is in the battery then check it with a voltage meter as this will confirm the amount of voltage is present. A fully charged battery should read about 13 volts, anything below 12.7 is less than fully charged and a reading of 12.5 or below is fully discharged.
