We have acquired (long story) a Base Camp (Quest) Panorama Family 260 awning which is in immaculate condition but minus all its poles!

Have tried fitting several sets of spares we have for old awnings, all of which are either too long or too short, and it doesn't seem to be possible to shorten them without causing the pole to split.

I just wondered if there was anyone who perhaps had one of these awnings where the fabric was ripped or damaged in some way but had a complete set of poles.  I would obviously be willing to pay the seller and one good awning could be made from the two. Turns out the manufacturers have stopped making this particular type...have also tried other suppliers but no luck.

It does seem such a pity to throw the thing away - has literally only been used once but if I can't get poles to fit, then in the bin it must go.  It's taking up storage space.

If you measure the length required for each pole, most decent camping and accessory shops sell them and if you have to buy slightly longer than required they can easily be cut with a fine tooth junior hack saw without any splitting.

visit leisure direct shop web site I broke a few poles last year, they have repair kits and spare poles and sorted me out. I;d got nowhere when trying to obtain spares from the manufacturer. was able to get a kit with all needed to cut thread and make a stronger pole than original. hopefully they will help you too.

We are going to try to shorten the spare poles we currently have and if that doesn't work, will try Leisure Direct as suggested.
