2 plastic ramps, cost £10 and do the job. I have had to use them every time so far but I do avoid club sites which are more level.

Over the years we've had the Bulldog steel leveller, the Milenco aluminium leveller, Fiamma caravan blocks, and Fiamma motorhome blocks.

Both the Bulldog and the Milenco distort the tyre when raised - the Milenco far more so.

Both can be pretty hard to wind up - but, out of the two, I prefer the Bulldog because it's far stronger and more robust.

It is, however, a lot heavier than the Milenco.

The Fiamma caravan blacks were simple and easy - but we unwisely chucked them in with a caravan that we sold.

We then bought the Fiamma 'Jumbo' motorhome levelling blocks - based on the premise that they were wider and higher (which they are)

The problem we found when we came to use them was that our caravan mover couldn't cope with the slope. The caravan could have been towed on, of course, but it's much easier to run the van up using the mover.

So it's back to the Fiamma caravan blocks - not as high and not as wide - but at least the mover can climb them.

I glanced in the mirror, and it was love at first sight...

Not so easy on sloping hardstanding
