ABI DAWNSTAR 2 BERTH CARAVAN 1994 DOES THE SHOWER AND HOT WATER RUN OFF THE BATTERY PLEASE.

1994 Dawnstar had a gas or Electric heater you choose which to use. Without EHU you run the water heater off gas. The shower unit itself always runs off 12v . The van is almost identical to the 1994 Daystar that I had. Lovely van providing you get a dry one you will never buy better.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
Both hot and cold water is delivered by the 12 volt water pump which in turn is powered by the caravan's leisure battery. All caravans function by the same method. There are two ways of heating the water in the tank and that is by 240 volt mains (hook up) or by gas.
