Does anyone know what size of awning is commonly used on this van? The rail measurement is 1008cm but I'm not sure whether to go for a size 14 which would be at the top of its range, but nice and tight, or a size 15 which would be correspondingly looser.
It depends on the awning manufacturer as they apply different sizes to their awnings so you can't go by the size you need. You have to go by the length in centimetres to find the correct size. Whatever length you need you are best to go bigger rather than a tight fit because if the ground slopes away from the caravan doorway there won't be enough material to peg it out. People have been caught out because of this problem and wished they had bought the next size up.
As a guide, the awning rail size on our caravan in the handbook is 886 cms. but I bought a Dorema 900 cms. awning which just fits perfectly.
