Hello, I am hoping someone might know what diameter waste pipe is needed for a 2008 Abbey GTS? As we have booked a full serviced pitch, I need a longer pipe and don't have time to go up to the storage place as well as a trip to the supply shop.
It will be our first trip in a caravan and we can't wait!
If the supply shop are knowledgable about caravans they should be able to tell you what size waste pipe you need by the year of manufacture as all the UK caravan manufacturers use the same size pipe outlets as standard. On a 2008 model it is likely that it is the larger grey waste pipe as earlier models were fitted with a smaller diameter in black.
I think there are 3 different sizes which the black pipe for earlier models was 20 mm. diameter then they increased the size to 23.5 mm. then the latest to 28.5 mm. both in grey but what year they changed to the larger diameter pipe I'm not sure. However, there is a reducer you can buy if you want to enable the joining of 28.5 mm. to 23.5 mm. waste pipe fittings or hose which ensures a water tight fit between the two. Handy to keep as a spare for just 99p. in case you ever have the need to use one in the future for any reason.
