we have just had a few weeks our Bailey Unicorn 2 valencia, does anyone know what we should do to activate the alarm. we have reg the tracker , key fobs are working but still we cant get the alarm to work. should we have to switch anything on.Does any one else have a new Bailey and know what to do please. Thanks so much.
Assuming it is similar to the Pegasus alarm and tracker then the alarm is primarily powered by the leisure battery.
If that is missing, flat, or disconnected then it has an internal battery which when fully charged will power it for up to 2 weeks.
Pressing the fob button will give 2 chirps. This indicates the alarm is active. 1 chirp indicates it is unarmed.
Also I think that there should also be a battery in the PIR detector which may need to be replaced occasionally - but don't quote me on that (I did read it somewhere though)
Do you have the leisure battery fitted? If not how long has it been out? Have you checked the PIR is working. They still have an occasional flashing red light even when the alarm is off.
Can't help other than this, but it might be the answer all be it a very long shot.
Is it a Phantom tracker, if it is and there is a problem with the alarm, they will normally phone you.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
If it is the same as the Pegasus, there is a battery in the PIR detector; if the red light does not come on when you are moving about in the van it means the battery needs replacing. There is a small Phillips screw at the bottom, undo this and remove the cover and replace battery, it is a 9 volt rectangular battery.
