Hi,are pup tents allowed on a caravan club site? The tent would be behind our wind break on our pitch and was wondering if this would be frowned upon!
Cheers Craig
I would also check with the site. We went to cromer for the 3rd time last year and they had introduced a new rile of no pup tents. They said due to fire safety. Have used other caravan club site s with no problems and ccc sites are no problem either.
from south lancs rally booklet regarding pitching at northern centers rally at ripon 16/08/14.a gazebo pup tent porch awning or combination of these is allowed on the nearside of the caravan providing they do not cover an area larger than that covered by a normal awning.
i should imagine that this is the norm on all cc sites. ?????????.
We have used a pup tent at Sandringham CC site in the past, without a problem, although the occupants were charged the going rate for extra adults per night. Since the introduction of the awning/non awning pitch bookings have come into force, there may be some pitches that simply would be too small to fit a pup tent onto once the car and caravan were parked up. There are also some CC sites where for safety reasons, risk of flash floods, local planning restrictions ect no awnings or pup tents are allowed, so yes, your best bet would be to check with the site before booking.
