We looked at them, but having owned a Lunar for the previous 4 years, we fancied a change, and bought our Elddis Avante from Robinsons.
At the time, there were some models in the ranges that were sold out for the 2013 season as we bought fairly late, so our choice was somewhat restricted. Our Lunar had been in the workshop for a fair bit of warantee work done whilst we owned her, including the replacement of the wall boarding tape throughout where it had peeled away from the joints, and she was starting to suffer from some crazing of the GRP panels where they joined onto the awning rails she was 6 years old when we traded her in.
We also looked at the Lunar Venus range, but were put off by the wallboard lining the shower cubicle instead of a proper lined waterproof
cubicle. The Elddis has had a few teething problems, mainly minor, and we have got a few more jobs to be done when it goes in for its first service next month. It tows well, is lovely and warm on chilly days, with plenty of space inside and a well planned layout. Downside is the Whale water system in the shower, just far too easy to accidently nudge the tempreture leaver whilst in use and end up with a shot of very uncomfortably hot water, enough to redden the skin, and certainly not safe for young children to use unsupervised.
We have had brilliant service from Robinsons though all the way along, and would recomend them to anyone looking to buy a new caravan.
