hello all am new to caravaning - bought a sprite alpine 4 berth 2008 last year. when unpacking from our last holiday have noticed that it is wet between the water pump and underbed storage locker we think we have located the problem the actuall door is leaking only found this out after removing door as first thought it was the seal. we are going to order a new door - but before we replace the door would like some advice - the wood that sits inside the opening is wet and a small section about 2 inches is rotten do we need to replace it as its only a small section we were just going to let the rest dry out, is this ok? .. any advice.. and how long does it take for wood to rot? would it have been leaking when we bought it??? thank you
