Make the most of some quality "me" time!
I go away on my own frequently and I love it!
I take some magazines and a couple of books so I have some quality reading material, my iPad on to which I have downloaded some good films to watch in the evenings, a comfy chair so I can sit and watch the world go by, some special "treat" foods so that I can enjoy some lovely meals and a big smile on my face as I know that, for a short time, I can please myself!!
If you think you might be bored, why not post where you are going and the dates and see if another forum member is going to the same place?
"On my Own"
Am I the only one who thought this post was going to be the start of a sing song from Les Mis?
"Pretending he's beside me.
All alone,
I walk with him till morning.
Without him,
I feel his arms around me,
And when I lose my way I close my eyes
And he has found me..."

just think about all the other campers around you who will be trying to work out why your there on your own ,i.e have they had a row !! ,have they separated /divorced etc,are you his bit on the side ,the list goes on and at least it will provide a talking point for the other people on site
I did half term, sort of on my own, hubby dropped me and the 2 boys stayed 2 nights then went back. we had a great week, kids didn't play up, were helpful when I saw then, usually they just disappeared to play and I read lots and they would come back to eat! Strictly speaking I wasn't on my own, my sis in law was opposite side of field to us with her 2 boys to as her hubby went back to work to. Personaly I would enjoy the peace!

I did the very thing the other week. We both went up at the weekend to our sited van, hubby left for work on the Sunday night and came back on the Friday. I had a great time to myself - i've learned to pan for gold so did that myself and also with others on site. Read a bit, and generally lazed about at my own pace. Bliss! When we were sited before I used to go away regularly myself as hubby doesnt get as many holidays as me. Re the panning for gold, I took this up for the very reason that it is a hobby I can do on my own if I like for when I am the caravan myself. Also, there are always others to pass the time of day with.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
