You won't believe it, but I just found 3 campinggaz canisters in my closet! They must be more than 15 years old. One is completely full.

Can I still use them?

Are they going to explode on me?

Anyone with experience using up old canister please advise!

i have some older than that. and yes go on give it a try.
mine i bought in the seventies and used when m,bike camping . found my old bag in my parents shed when clearing them out . but still useful.

Pierceable cartridges (C206) or refillable cylinders (R901/4/7)?

If cartridges, and you have a stove or lantern of similar age, check that the spike is not proud of the seal ("piston washer") as mentioned in this thread.

I have a 907 cylinder which we take abroad as a spare. It still has the price of £3.75 on it. (They are about £20 to refil these days.)
