Hi All, I'm travelling up for the tour weekend on a Thursday evening at 4pm. My question is to those who may have been that way is do I go M6 and across or M1. The traffic will be rubbish either way but there is only a 1 mile difference.
Currently I am thinking M6,M62 and M1/A1 as the roads from the M6 at the top will be narrow and busy with lots of Tour fans. Any thoughts?

I go to Birmingham and Telford quite a bit and live east of the DL11 postcode. I would recommend avoiding M6 Northbound. I would go M42, M1, A1, A66.
