I have a 1998 Bailey Pageant Majestic. Everything has worked for some time but after storing for about 10 weeks I have the following problem.

When plugged into EHU.
Switch (10A 240V) inside external door (on side of cupboard) OFF
12V control panel rocker set to "van"
Battery status meter reads 12.5v
Mains lights, sockets and fridge work fine.
Thetford cassette toilet flushes OK.
Electric heater works

The battery operated lights do not work unless the single "light switch" just inside the external door is switched "ON". The switch is marked 10A 240V. When I do this the 12v stuff and electric heater and (I think) toilet flush stop working after about half an hour and battery goes to the bottom of the meter (9V) ( I get the feeling it would like to go lower if it could lol).

If I unplug from the EHU, nothing works.

The water pump does not run whatever I switch on or off.

I have checked the fuses, all OK.

My multimeter is hiding. While I organise another I thought I would try you people.

So maybe two problems, maybe one.

I suspect the battery is not working properly. Maybe too long in storage (a year at one point in the past), but all was OK last time I used it.

I've always had a problem with the water. The outside connector doesn't seem to fit the caravan clips properly, as if its the wrong model, but at least I could get the pump to run. Maybe the pump has seized.

Any ideas while I'm waiting for a multimeter?

hi im not an expert on electrics but my first port of call would be to check the battery ,a fully charged one should read about 13.7 amps,i have had to buy both a new battery and a seperate charger from hellfords today as my old battery went down from 12.5 volts to 9.5 volts,so rather than charging it up i had a new one ,as the old battery was a good few years old, this new charger is halfords own make and its a automatic one..when its finished charging it automatically goes on to trickle charge and can be left on for wks at a time to keep ya battery in tip top condition ...not sure if this helps with ya prob but ya never know ...

If I've read this right, all works ok for about 30mins then fails, but pump doesn't work at all?

I would suspect the pump impeller has seized (the bit that turns at the bottom). You can usually free it by rotating by hand, but I would rig up a means of testing on another 12v supply to check too.
I would get the pump running first (by either repair or replacement), then assess if the other problems are still apparent.

I'm not hugely convinced by the health of your leisure battery either and wonder if the current being drawn in attempt to run the pump is bringing your battery down.

OK, thanks to you all. I found the second fusebox and changed the blown "battery" fuse. Boy, do I feel stupid. Live and learn though! My ongoing pump problems are in my water pump thread. Got them kind of mixed but am closing this one as its mostly solved. Thanks again for all your advice.
