I have bought a second hand Dorema Vitesse XL awning, in good condition, but I'm confused on where to place the rear poles.
Anyone got one that can help me?

No you don't use those. The frame stands independently but I can't work out where the rear legs go in relation to the padded strips and corners of the awning.
The instructions seem to show them trapping the padding between the legs and the van - which seems sensible - but the ties are on the outside of the awning and tying them pulls the whole shape in.
So difficult to describe if you haven't seen one!!

So you're actually asking advice related to a Dorema porch awning then and not a full awning?

Thank you for the video link, it seems to show the pole next to the padding, but because there's no van wall you can't judge.
When we put it with the leg squishing onto the padding it wiggles off and rests in the top corner, which has no re-inforcement and is wearing out.

We have one of these, we make sure that the pole that runs along the back is not to tight and not forcing out the back uprights, if you slightly angle the back uprights, feet slightly out, it helps.
