Hey guys, I have a full size awning that we got when we bought the caravan. Its definately waterproof as we got caught in very heavy rain! but it looks mouldy and would like to try and clean it up. Ive tried pressure washing and scrubbing with water and a stiff brush and no luck. Ive heard people have had bad experiences with sending awnings away for cleaning. Please any advice would be good. Its such a huge awning and in such good condition it just needs cleaning up. Thanks again
Buy some Fenwicks awning clean and try that use neat on stubborn dirty parts, or use liquid clothes detergent may have to rewaterproof after use depending on age of awning. waterproofing can be sprayed on using garden spray or use paint brush if only odd places aerosol cans also but works out more expensive just follow instructions on container. I have seen spray cans in Aldi/LLidl for about £2.99 for doing 4/5man tents shoes, jackets gazebo,s etc worth a try ??????
if its waterproof leave well alone ,ANY cleaning agent will remove the proofing and need reproofing ,the cost of the reproofing stuff makes it cheaper to look for a used one on e/bay .
if your away for a couple of weeks sunshine and rain will clean it naturally anyway
