We have just sold our caravan and given up touring after 24 great years ,and moved over to the dark side a got a static,just a thank you for all the advice and banter over the past 10 yrs on this site ,I will still check in now and then

We did the same 5 weeks ago although we had our tourer on a seasonal site. We loved the tourer but as we never actually towed we thought we might as well get a static. It's an old one (couldn't afford new) but on a small site with only 34 caravans all about the same age but all immaculate, no shop or club house, in fact only a small play area for kids but the walks around are magnificent with red squirrels and pheasant in abundance. What more can you ask for for £900 for a seven month season - any longer would be a waste as we'd probably be snowed in.
How lovely! Enjoy your static van... it takes a lot of nerve to finally give up the towing, but you have made the right decision for yourselves. Enjoy!
