If the caravan door key does not fit & there is no number stamped on the gas locker lock Im afraid its a case of forcing the lock & buying a new one, they are readily available on line

Hi,
I have an abbey piper caravan with a locker for a gas cyclinder at the front of it.
Unfortunately, I don't have a key to open it.
Has any one any suggestions as to where a spare can be got?
It's a roundy sort of key.
Thanks
Conor
Go onto Google and see if you can found the shape via the pictures on there for your caravan.
We did and managed to get ours then I kept the number safe when we had bought a daffy Abbey
Hi if its the original lock it sounds like it will be an MC key. most caravan centres stock them numbered 1 to 99. locker locks are not normally that secure and if you wrap insulation tape around outer edge of lock you may be able to turn lock anti clockwise to open. then you can remove lock and take it with you to get a new key or lock barrell
Abbey piper gas locker, if it's like mine, the key is part number E3-5-15 it is approx 1/2" od tube and has four notches inside the tube, big small big small.
If you only have three notches it could be the southco small tubular key you need.
There is another southco key E3-26-715-15, which also fits. They all have the same pattern.
I have both keys, and on comparing them I notice that the E3-5-15 has a longer internal profile, I find it easier to use. I don't know if the difference in internal length is because of part number or just a difference coming from date of manufacture.
