I have just purchased a Bailey Pageant Sancerre series 7 2009 and it has a strange looking (to me) TV socket known as a clipsol I believe with one hole slightly smaller than the other.
I have a Kogan TV that runs either 240 or 12 volt however, my last caravan had a cigarette lighter style socket as does the lead I purchased for the TV.
Does anyone know how I can overcome this as we rally without hook up some times ?
------------- Albino, Can"t say fairer than that !
Thanks for the help however, that is the lead I currently use in a cigarette socket.
I have just found a clipol / cigarette adapter on Ebay and purchased one.
Thanks again.

mine has those strange plugs.. quite neat but nothing comes with them.. i made a converter to make use of them and fitted a couple of extra cigar lighter type sockets in handy places..
they are a TV aerial plus a 12 volt socket in one unit..
Clipsal was the name of the Australian company who manufactured a great range of electrical accessories (sockets, switches etc). They are now owned by Legrand.
They were made of polycarbonate which is a virtually unbreakable plastic so brilliant for use in caravans.
The face plates could be any of a huge range of colours.
The socket you describe sounds like a standard 12volt socket as used in caravans. Often the caravans were provided with a few plugs.
