Hi all just picked caravan up after been in storage for winter. Checking van over before weekend away. Turned gas on at bottle and yellow safety switch at the front of van. Then turned the 4 knows under cooker. Ignition works fine but nothing will ignite. I have a bailey olympus 546 2010. Thanks in advance
It can take a short while for the gas to be pulled through.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
If you put a flame near one of the burners does the flame get moved by the flow of gas/air when you turn the knobs on?
When i got my 1st van i spent ages trying to light the fridge. Gave up moved onto the burners. These took a little while, But i could see the flame moving as i turned them on and off so knew gas was coming down the pipes.
This was before self ignition etc. Do you need to hold the buttons in whilst lighting the hobs?
Sorry for asking but has gas tank got gas in it.
I remember when first taking the van out of storage it does take some time. Press the knob on the gas hob wait a good bit before trying to ignite.
Funny you ask that my father in law said the same. Yes I've got half a bottle of gas. I've turned knob for a good couple of minutes and nothing. I'll try longer tomorrow night
Have you checked the red valves are on? There is normally 3 or 4 valves, one for each appliance.
.They are normally in the bottom of one of the kitchen cupboards. Ours are in the storage area under the oven.

Evening all thanks for all your reply. It is the gas regulator on the bulk head I need to replace apparently very common fault when I popped into local caravan shop. £50 part but at least it's sorted. Thanks again
