Does anybody know if I can use turps on a caravan window (acrylic?) to remove some sticky that has been left by a sticker? I don't want to just try it in case I damage the window. If not... what should I use as I presumably can't use anything abrasive? Thanks.

There will be proprietary 'sticky' remover on sale out there for a tidy sum, but ive been known to use Four Star before today - shifts anything. Itself quickly washed off with soapy water after the 'sticky' has gone.

Unleaded! Petrol!

You have to decide whether to use it or not. But a tiny dab on a cloth will shift most sticky stuff/tar in seconds. Then give it a good rinse with soapy water to make sure the stuff itself is washed away.

Try a little WD40 to remove sticky labels etc.

Derr, Petrol! Oh yer! I might try WD40, it might be a bit safer then petrol and hopefully not smell as bad! My car runs on diesel anyway... Thanks :)
