Morning Nora. Something like This would do the job. We have had a speaker like this for ages and the sound difference is amazing. We also use it for playing music from the mp3 player, or phone in the caravan.Just plug into headphone socket on tv or mp3/mobile and away you go. Will also re-charge from the same source as your mobile phone. Simples!

decent speakers need to get their power from somewhere.. if you dont want mains they could be battery powered..

you can buy reasonable ones quite cheaply.. they do need their own amplifier.. a headphone socket will not do this... it will provide the sound signal but that is all..

if you have a decent radio and speakers built into the caravan with an auxilliary input then a standard jack plug from the headphone socket of the tv to the stereo aux input works good, we use this method for playing mp3 and streamed music from spotify to a mobile phone or laptop.

Computer Speakers or a Sound Bar both work great. Expensive type not required due to van size. Ensure that they are good enough to have separate base/treble controls though, nothing worse than 'tinny' sound!
