It may use the CRIS number as the serial number like Bailey do. The Bailey has the number stamped on the chassis at the offside front, perhaps Abbey do it the same way.

Had a look there is a No on the ALKO stabiliser , Would this be it? I might just use the CRIS number then.

XVI yes?

As well is two words!

Some vans have No on AXLE between wheels My last van a Geist had No on plate behind spare wheel in front locker this also was the CRIS No on all windows.

      Chassis No - - - - - - - -  BPW          A FRAME CHASSIS NO - - - - - - - -

       model 485                                       BRAKE SIZE  200 X 50 MM,S

       MRO   1157                                    HITCH NO- - - - -    TYPE  STD

MTPLM 1347                                  CHASSIS MAX LOAD 1800 KGS

TYRE SIZE 185 R14C 102            LOAD PER WHEEL     ??    KGS

       PRESSURE 60 PSI

       LEFT OF DOOR ,

       D OF M 2005

        MTPLM 1347 KGS

        MRO  1157 KGS

        PAY LOAD 190 KGS

I found all above info very useful and made typed copies to put in manual folder till some toe rag broke in by forcing one of front windows and stealing the contents that was easily removable tv, stereo, pans oven shelf ,toilet roll holder all paper work porch awning, water barrels even waterproof jacket and trousers. I think they would have completly stripped it if they had more time or had not been disturbed.
