Hi,I have just bought a Abi Award Daystar 1998 model.
I am new to caravaning so would like to know how do I know if my car is charging the 12 volt battery in the caravan as I drive along.
Like I say this is my first caravan so any tips would be great.

Does you car have a split charger relay and twin (or 13 pin) electrics?

Have you switch the caravan control panel switch to the appropriate position?

Yes I have twin electrics ...on the control panel do I need to switch on the 12 volt battery light?

The only way to tell is connect a multimeter to the battery then start the engine and see if the voltage increases.
