I have taken delivery of a new imported Bailey ( Australian version, total tow mass 2000Kg) and have fitted two sets of caravan movers (one set on each axle). This has required the removal of the jacking bracket. I would prefer to use the Al_Ko side lift jack if possible
Can the jacking bracket be repositioned to an elongated chassis hole 150mm towards the back of the caravan. This "elongated hole would allow the fitting of two nuts & bolts that were used in the initial bracket position If not recommended are there any suggestions on where to jack from.

Any ideas and suggestions greatly appreciated from a guy in Australia.

The more definitive answer can only come from Al-Ko technical themselves; the UK Al-KO set up would have been the supplying dealer so well placed to advise and I have found them "helpful".
The chassis is shall we say "delicate"; designed for minimum weight and for the task in hand, but not with reserves for such things as misplaced jacking. A big no no is jacking on the edge of the folded rails, they will yield. Al-KO also don't entertain any drilling, and elongating holes I would expect would be treated the same.
Moving any jacking further to the rear is not likely to be wise, moving nearer the centre of mass, under the wheels making more sense.
On the single axle there are heavy duty plates welded to the torque tube "axle", onto which the folded rails are bolted; I expect the twin is similar.
This plate is a recommended jacking point, and I jack here with a trolley jack.
For safety leave the van coupled to the car during jacking.

the kojack is a good option i chose one over the alko side lift jack..

things do get in the way.. the chassis is re-enforced when you fit the jacking points.. four quite large brackets come with the twin axle kojack version these fit both sides of the chassis and go right up to the van floor and will without a doubt stop any chassis twisting..

but as i have said things can get in the way.. :)

Thanks guys..
A bit away from all that is happening in Europe so your thoughts will be taken on board. Have seen a kojack advertised so I will investigate further.....

Cgeers from Melbourne.
